Known as "Whiskey Units", DUI Enforcement Officers can be seen throughout the county patrolling for impaired drivers and at safety checkpoints. These deputies have all been through extensive training in the detection of drugs and alcohol, and how they affect people.
The Whiskey Units operate under a federal grant of $170,000. per the grant requirements, these officers are working with the primary function of ensuring impaired drivers are taken off the streets, keeping the county safer for the rest of us.
